Levi Leipheimer is out with a broken hip; Jimmy Casper and Marc Lotz also didn't start today.

From letour site:

14 H 37 - Casper Is In The Race There are 196 riders in the race. It was reported earlier that Jimmy
Casper abandoned the race after a fall at the end of stage one. That is incorrect. The FDJeux.com
rider is in the race today and is riding with a neck brace. Sorry for any confusion caused.

Apparently just a hairline fracture. Bet Armstrong was gutted when TH beat him in the Prologue
having previously slammed him for his lack of loyalty.

Yeah, he bunny-hopped a couple of fallers. Definitely got a career in mountain biking after his tour
days are over.

Armstrong has never slammed TH for lack of loyalty they are still friends Armstrong understood that
Tyler wanted to try to ride his own chance. The one Armstrong slammed for the lack of loyalty was
LEIPHEIMER who joined Deutche Telekom to help Ullrich.

Its great to see TH holding his own despite his injury, but the real test as we all know will be
when the mountains are reached.

I'd even put him as an outsider for holding yellow after the TTT if CSC can get their act together.

Yes you have. I know for a fact that LA was one of the first to call Tyler after the accident. I
also know that they see each other in private as friends (they both live in the same area in
Northern Italy).

Agree. The mountains will be a huge test Bjarne Riis has stated that if Tyler can not get between
the 10-15 best riders in the mountains he should leave the tour (to focus on the Vuelta)

Tyler was pretty optimistic last night after he had new X-rays made. They showed that the injury had
not been getting any worse.

I did bed on US-Postal. 10th was pretty much as expected CSC lost two af their tempo-specialist LJ
and Michael Sandstød (still not on top after his almost fatal accident in the last tour).
