If the timing is bad for mountains, then they could move to try and fit it in later in the season. The weather is also likely to be a little less toxic then.

No, whoever has that one can definitely keep it.

Less flippantly, the Grand Prix just needs a few roads. A stage cycling event needs a few good mountains, and SA can't deliver.

TDU is perfect for what it is, a warm up event.

Teams don't want to have to race over the snowy mountains in january.

They go to Adelaide, stay in the same hotel every night and just transit to the different stage starts, it's easy, relaxed and sunny. That's all they want.
