wow.

this thread has inspired me to take a much needed break from the forums.
i have only been a member for a little more than a year, but things
have really started going downhill in the last couple months. i think
we all should evaluate how we use the forums and try to return to a
state where we actually produce useful, tasteful conversation. so while
i may check in from time to time, i will try my best to stay away. RSU
used to be a place where i could escape from all the bigotry and idiocy
of the real world. RSU used to be a utopia where something as simple as
unicycling could overshadow the petty differences between people that
result in all the pain in the world. one day i hope to log in and see
the forums as they were when i first joined. until then, if you wanna
chat, my AIM screenname is the same as my forum name, muniracer. later
guys.

All right, obviously IAmTheWaltrus has given anyone who wants to jump
all over him a valid excuse to. But enough people have chimed in about
it already, let's just shut up and leave the issue be. We don't all
need to add our own "yes, I agree that he was heartless" comment ... in
fact, I think it should probably have stopped at UniBrier's, because
it's really impossible to follow up on that sort of thing. So let's
just leave it where it is and move on.

total uni! Please think about your posts from now on. Try your best to
say all you want to in one post instead of two or three consecutive
ones, and try also not to post any comment directed at one person on the
forums in particular ... that's what private messaging is for. Don't
create threads about topics that are already being discussed in other
threads, and CERTAINLY don't create two or three threads about the same
thing (like putting up a "buying and selling" type thread and then a
"I'm selling an item" thread). It will make it easier for everyone.

no-one wants you to leave. You just need to be a bit more careful about
how you behave on the forums. on ANY forums.

multiple posts really p!ss people off, because it makes it harder for
them to read what they hope might be sensible thread. huge sigs (like
mine) annoy people sometimes as well, for the same reason.

generally just try and be a bit nicer. people will speak their minds
sometimes, take it all with a smile and dont get involved in any fights.
You'll always feel like you've lost.

Whoa there.

No need to completely stop posting. Your enthusiasm about unicycling
and those little BC wheels is a good thing.

Some people are just asking you to throttle back on the turbo posting.
Keep in mind that 100's or 1000's of people read these messages. Turbo
posting just wastes their time. Before you post just ask yourself the
question "Is what I'm about to post worth the time of 100 or 1000 people
to read?". If you can't say yes, then don't post.

The Just Conversation forum is different. Over there you can go off
topic, blabber about anything, and post whatever you want (well,
almost). But over here in the main forum we need to stay more on topic
and not waste people's time with useless posts.

You'll notice that we don't have chatty style conversations over here in
the main forum. Chatty conversations in the forum just waste people's
time. In Just Conversation it is different and you can get chatty if
you want.

And as for muniracer's comment. This place has gone down hill a lot
since,,, well since I joined. I read some of the older posts and some
reviews and they helped me decide to get a unicycle because I wanted to
learn and I new there was a very nice community. There are still some
very nice people in this forum, but we are getting quite a lot of
young(most of them) anoying people like, example: poopie here is a good
example.

But to get to the point I would prefere to have the young uni
enthusiastic people then the like poopie.
