It doesn't really matter who got to the finish first (there was only 10
seconds in it anyway).
But one of them had a damned sight more fun than the other one!

The rules for this are quite simple. If it is Clarkson vs the other two
presenters, Clarkson wins, otherwise the presenter loses. So far they
have had:
Clarkson vs a marathon runner over the London Marathon course during
rush hour.
Clarkson vs two climbers up the verdon gorge.
May vs Atherton downhill in Lisbon. You forgot the various Clarkson vs public transport (bus, plane, train)
across Europe. Of all of them he won only one AFAIK, the London to
Swiss ski resort public transport vs Ferrari but then he only won by a
few seconds.
You forgot the monte-carlo one which he also just won.

right."

Actually I believe he's won all of them.
Aston Martin vs TGV to south of France
Ferrari vs Plane and Swiss trains to Ski resort (sorry can;t rememebr which one, my argument with teh staging of this one is they started at 5am from a bus stop, when teh next bus was an hour away, talk about rigging it, and he only just beat the other 2 overtaking them on the way up the mountain)
Mercedes Vs ferry to Sweeden (2 speed oats blew up going down a Fjord)

The driver wasn't.
What, the driver wasn't a great cyclist?

Wasn't that in a £200,00 car though hardly daily transport.

Which Atherton, may I ask? Rachel? Dan? Gee? They're a talented bunch...
Mind you I know which of them those petrolheads would /least/ like to
have been beaten by.

Doesn't surprise me at all. One of the toughest and most competitive
people on the planet.

Thanks for the run-down - I remember Topgear from years ago (Allman
Brothers 'Jessica'?), I just wanted to hear about the bike vs car
thing. I've asked the mammy to video it for me tonight, sounds like
uplifting xmas day viewing.

I see a bloke on my commute most days who's driving a Ferrari. The
average mileage covered by these four-wheeled atomic doorstoppers is
usually in three figures, but that's not to say one /couldn't/ use one
every day should one feel so inclined. They don't even break down that
often any more :-)

And the one to Norway or somewhere similar, which he just won by about a
day and a half.

He himself said that if the other's boat hadn't blown an engine, then
the boat they transferred into "burst" (it was a RIB), he would have
lost as it was he could have won that in a Vauxall Astra but he just
happened to be driving that Mercedes McClaren supercar thing.
