I don't think so, because all the parts that make up a bicycle don't
necesarily come from a single source. Any particular brand might use
a number of component groups on their different models, and there can
be variation in quality of any particular component group from year
to year. And some distributors will offer customers a choice of
component groups from different manufacturers. It's like having a
PC clone built up -- your choice of Gravis or SoundBlaster, Maxtor
or Quantum, etc.

For some reason it's easier to list the current worst brands. And
some of those might have been among the best at some point in time.

They would probably all be high-end custom frame builders.

Define 'top'. Do you mean the most number of bikes sold within a certain
timespan? Or do you mean something else?

If it's a 'solid and satisfying bike' then I would say it's totally
subjective.
