  1. Im curious if anyone notices that ingesting too much Splenda gives you
    gas or other similar problems?

Is it in my head.... or can Splenda do this?

Never noticed (pfffft!) anything <pffffft!> unusual!
Seriously though, never noticed anything unusual. As an old
sailor who feels better when he's able to let one rip, I would use
more Spenda if I thought it might help!! :-)

What are you using the Splenda on or in? I only use it in coffee, and too
much coffee definitely gives me gas. Too much of a lot of foods give me
gas, actually. That's a good indication to me that I've just eaten too
    much.

Is this something you're putting Splenda in, or are you eating
Splenda-sweetened candy and ice cream, without noticing all the
sugar alcohols that are also in it?

  5. Yes, definitely. And even in small amounts. Having had bad reactions to all
sugar alcohols, I thought that Splenda might be the only alternative for me,
but one tablespoon of chocolate mousse sweetened with Splenda caused bloating
and gas. Now I just avoid sweets altogether or eat a minute piece with real
    sugar.

was that the only sweetener in it?

Well Im only adding it to my decaf team Im making

But..... a lot of the low carb foods Im buying have it
    added from the factory.

    See my other post

But no Im making sure In NOT eating those sugar
alcohols!! My body def can not tolerate that stuff.

However I am buying some processed food with splenda
already in it such as hods Low Carb orange juice drink
and such. But Im trying to make sure there is only
splenda in it and no sugar alcohols.

Well, regular orange juice is one thing that gave me gas even before
low-carb. Citrus fruits have always upset my stomach, and now it seems all
    fruits do.

My stomach is very sensitive to fruit, sugar alcohols, and some vegetables
like broccoli and spinach, yet Splenda does not bother me. You could
always try cutting out the stuff with the Splenda in it and see what
    happens.

It could be Splenda, it could be something else. It could be your body

What do you mean by upset? Do you get ill or just get gas? Generally, fruit
stimulates a BM with me, which is a good thing. Veggies like broccoli and
spinach do the same thing. I don' think that is a bad thing, generally.

Warning! TMI below!! But you did ask . . .

I'm already regular, so if I eat too much broccoli or spinach, or
apparently any fruit at all, I get painful gas and/or mild diarrhea. In
the case of citrus fruits, it's burning diarrhea. And by diarrhea I mean my
stomach cramps up and I have to go immediately and it's watery, not a
    healthy BM. :o)

  14. My daughter said it happened to her. I got her some of the Sweetzfree
liquid to put in tea, etc. She loved the taste but it gave her gas.

Yes. It was homemade. Perhaps my reaction was to the chocolate (unsweetened)
rather than Splenda but I did not bother to find out.
