I was gazing at these and wondering if Solida produced a "hello kitty" motif?

Highly unlike as kitty only started life in 1974. Brilliant collection, but no BSA, not pretty enough? Other stray thought, I reckon Led Zed may of borrowed a couple of motif ideas from these chain wheels.... 😄

on the chainring tatts..

You're certainly right. The caption even says "an inside look at etc
etc". I think the UCI should be running a metal detector over riders'
legs to check for this sort of unfair advantage.
As with most tatoos, I can't help but wonder how that's going to look
when it's no longer one of the fastest legs in the world. Well, I
don't think exactly that about other tatoos, particularly those not
legs, but something similar. Will it look warped if and when his legs
reduce in size after serious training ends after retirement? Anyone
with tatoo experience?

BSA yep got a scar on right shin from a 500cc bsa kick start smashed through the back of leg when the ratchet got caught, im sure some of theie cycle gear was off their bikes....
I know their special tool no#whatever was the same...

I saw this beast of a bike in 2001 at the courier world champs.
It isnt a stormer but it can carry endless amounts, and i think that joel had his entre backyard shed on it then!.
I dont know about it being the perfect courier bike though...more gears, more gears!!

I guess the Sturmey-Archer 3-speed hub trades gearing & efficiency for SAFETY - losing your chain in traffic can be interesting.

your chain only comes off when you dont change gears properly😉

anyhow, ive seen a chain pop off a fixed wheel roadie before and it causes a lot more damage than a freewheel pop.
