I'm back baby!

After a long winter of not getting out often like I should because I'm
just a sad case about cold weather. I've been suffering trying to get
back into the flight plan. A few pounds over the limit, but pushing
it, made my old circuit today, then topped off with the hill at the
park. Hopped up that 10 ft high bank. So winded, nearly killed me, but
heck I'd go smiling.

Some guy stopped me to say he had ridden when he was young. I said
great, "then you still can". He wouldn't try, but went on to explain
to me about the intense trial riding he had seen on TV. I said, "yeah,
those guys are great, it is incredible what they can do". He returned,
"Hey your doing fine, I saw you hopping up that hill, you know what
your doing, cool". :D

Nice job Issac!

I'm really excited too. Today I broke the 30" barrier. I had hopped a
little over 30" before, but I could only get it once. But today, I
jumped 31.5" (80cm) without too much trouble and 30.5" (77.5cm) about 8
out of 20 times.

I'm finally getting some motivation to make a new vid, and this weekend
should get me pumped up even more (I'm competing in a NATS trials
competition).

Today I realised that I had bent the flange on my KH hub. The left
side, where I pedal grab, grind and yeah. Does anyone know if this
will effect it?

Thanks,

Isaac

Today (wednesday) I took up half a page in my local newspaper in an
article about RTL. I was approached about being in the paper on monday
on my commute home on my 36er. It was pretty cool that it happened the
way it did.

it doesn't effect it at all. don't worry about it as long as your
spokes are still tensioned right.

oh, yesterday i had about the best ride of my life. it was really
relaxed and i didn't do anything new, but i had not ridden (more than
10 mins at a time) in a few months because my rim was messed up. it was
a lot of fun starting small and working my way back up. i definitely
enjoyed it
