Isn't it though! I'm so glad you appreciated it, truly! So many people that
live in the midst of it take it for granted, and that saddens me - I open
the front door, take a look up the road even, to the side at the highland
cows in the field there, and I delight in it. Once I get out into the
valleys, up on the hills, down by the rivers, into the woods, I'm overjoyed,

I haven't seen hat, and must have missed it in the links - I didn't have
time to go through them myself (just wanted to give you something before I
left work).
I was actually born in the village I now live in, but was rasied and lived
in another town ~7 miles west - a lot of this area and the places further
east are still not fully familiar to me - I learn new things about the area
constantly!
Whalley is the village, and it is home to this 14th C Cistercian abbey:
