To Braze or Not to Braze

Keep an eye on it. If it cracks again then either braze it up again or
get a new frame. Braze metal is softer than the steel of the frame.

If you are unhappy, change it for a new frame. I wouldn't use it for
extreme cycling.

funny place for a crack
by your descripton it doesn't sound like a very workmanlike repair.

definitely keep an eye on it, and don't beautify the spot with a
wrapping of tape etc

BTW, my advice is worth what you paid for it.. time will tell whether
it was an appropriate repair.

Were there any obvious stress risers where the crack started (ie hole
for DT levers etc.)?

None, just a crack

The guy who brazed it said the more braze on the crack the stronger it
would be. Regret I've already painted it, definitely not beautifully!
Presumably any movement will crack the paint.
