Last time I went to get some olive oil, and approx $90 later walked out

When the Delmonico brothers were alive and ran their small Italian
grocery store in NE Minneapolis, I could never get out of there for less
than $30. (Twenty years ago.) It was an Experience. God rest their
souls.

One Chilean, three American. Two were $3/bottle (TJ's famous Charles
Shaw label, affectionately known as Two- (or Three-, depending on where
you are) Buck Chuck, and two were $5.

I used to have a Bowen Mango tree in my back yard. One year there was a
plethora of fruit and I had to come up with all these different ideas on

I am SO jealous! You can't imagine how often Dear Daughter and I have
kidded about renting a van and driving to San Diego to fill up at TJ and
Ikea. As you may have noticed, it's not the kind of place you can send
someone else with a list because there are too many impulse items you
couldn't imagine unless you saw them in person.

My mojito reference wasn't a cooking sauce, altho it sounds wonderful.
Mine was a very nice, yummy drink with lime and mint and rum.

I don't know about the TJs in other parts of the country, but in San
Diego they have all kinds of beautiful bouquets and potted plants
(including very healthy orchids) for great prices. Oh, and their
chocolate bar selection is dynamite.

Look for the tubs of mini cookies (choc chip and triple ginger
gingersnaps) and the big jars of apricot sauce (yummy over desserts or
pancakes/French toast).

Aaargh. I've been told Denver will never get a TJ because we have Wild
Oats and Whole Foods. Not. The. Same. Thing. at all.

Not sure if this matters at all, but Wild Oats is about 1 block from one of
our TJ's. We don't have a Whole Foods but we do have Mustard Seed that
sounds like it's the same as Whole Foods from what I have read here. It's
near by as well.

That doesn't stop them. Albuquerque has both of those, plus a
Sunflower market, and we just got a Trader Joes back in March.

It has to do with where the distribution centers are, from what I have
read.
