Get one of the yellow Conti trainer tires. You can find 'em on eBay for reasonably cheap.
Extremely quiet, extremely clean (no black tire dust - no yellow dust either), and long lasting.
One of my best purchases in cycling equipment... -

While CONTINENTAL has an 'indoor-trainer' specific tire, I suggest you simply use your OLD, no-longer roadworthy tires when you are on your trainer.

^^^I used to do that, but the black tire dust rendered that future practice prohibitive...ymmv

Worn-out tires that are no longer road worthy for me, but I do ride in my unfinished basement so black dust is not an issue.

I don't care about the black dust either, I also ride in an partially unfinished basement area and just use a shop vac when I noticed the powder. I use a Kenda Kwest for the rear of the MTB which is on the trainer now for a couple of years and it's held up fine, both on the trainer and on the road.
