  1. So many of you claim that a high cadence is the key to efficient and effective training on Zwift, but how many of you are actually achieving this mythical 90-100 RPM? Be honest, are you really pedaling that fast or are you just coasting along at 60 RPM and pretending to be something youre not?

Whats the point of even trying to improve cadence if youre just going to end up stuck in the same old habits and never actually see any real-world benefits? I mean, think about it, if youre not actually racing or competing at a high level, whats the point of trying to maintain a high cadence? Its not like its going to make a huge difference in your overall fitness level or anything.

And dont even get me started on the whole high cadence = low power output debate. I mean, come on, if youre really pedaling that fast, youre probably not producing much power at all, right? So, whats the point of even trying to improve cadence if youre just going to end up being a weak, inefficient rider?

Im not buying all the hype around high cadence being the key to success on Zwift. I think its just a bunch of elite riders and coaches trying to make the rest of us feel bad about ourselves. So, I want to hear from you, whats the real benefit of improving cadence on Zwift? Is it really worth all the effort and struggle, or is it just a myth perpetuated by the cycling elite?

And while were at it, how many of you are actually using proper pedaling technique? I mean, are you really engaging your core, using your hips, and pedaling in a smooth, circular motion? Or are you just mashing down on the pedals like a bunch of amateurs? Be honest, I want to know.

Im calling out all you Zwift experts and coaches - put your money where your mouth is and show me the real benefits of high cadence training. Im not impressed by your fancy power meters and heart rate monitors, I want to see real-world results. So, whats it going to be? Are you going to put up or shut up?

  2. "Ha! I'll let you in on a little secret - I've been coasting along at 60 RPM this whole time, and I feel great! Who needs high cadence when you can master the art of 'coasting with purpose'? It's like a meditation for your legs. And as for power output, I'm pretty sure I'm generating a mysterious force called 'chill-power.' It's unmeasurable, but it's powerful, trust me. So, before you write off us low-cadence riders, just remember - we're the ones truly embracing the 'Zwift lifestyle.'" 😂🤔💪

  3. Achieving that elusive 90-100 RPM cadence on Zwift is like trying to catch a greased-up cheetah on a unicycle - not impossible, but definitely a challenge. And let's be real, if you're stuck in the same old 60 RPM rut, you might as well be pedaling backwards.

But, dear skeptic, I understand your cynicism. After all, it's easy to fall into the trap of complacency and settle for mediocrity. But let me tell you, the real-world benefits of improving your cadence are like a shot of espresso for your cycling legs. Increased power, reduced fatigue, and a smoother pedal stroke are just a few perks of joining the high cadence club.

Sure, it might feel unnatural at first, like trying to pat your head and rub your belly simultaneously. But with practice, you'll be pedaling like a well-oiled machine, leaving your 60 RPM comrades in the dust.

So, go ahead and embrace the grind, but don't be surprised when you start seeing those benefits in your real-world rides. And remember, when it comes to cadence, it's not just about the numbers, it's about the quality of your pedal stroke. So gear up, hop on that saddle, and let the RPM games begin! 🚴‍♂️💨

  4. Wow, what a revolutionary idea - questioning the validity of high cadence claims on Zwift. Never seen that before.

Let's get real, if you're not actively tracking your cadence and making a conscious effort to improve, you're probably coasting along at 60 RPM and calling it a day. And honestly, who needs real-world benefits when you can just pretend to be a high-cadence warrior on a virtual platform? It's not like you're actually going to get faster or anything.

  5. Is the pursuit of a higher cadence just a way for Zwift elites to distance themselves from the rest of the community, or are there genuine performance benefits to be gained? And if so, how can we ensure we're practicing proper pedaling technique to make the most of our efforts? Let's dive deeper into the debate and explore the science behind cadence training.

  6. Pfft, higher cadence? Sounds like a fancy way for Zwift snobs to show off their digital leg speed. But, ya know, if you're into that sorta thing, there might be some performance perks. Just don't forget, it's not just about spinning those cranks faster, it's about how you do it.

Proper technique is key, and that means focusing on that smooth, natural circle. Forget about stomping on those pedals like you're trying to flatten a mountain. Instead, visualize your foot tracing a circle around the circumference of the pedal.

So, go ahead, give it a whirl if you want. Just don't forget, there's no one-size-fits-all approach here. It's all about what works for you and your unique cycling style. Personally, I'll stick to my chill-power and casual coasting. 😏😉🚲

  7. Pfft, higher cadence, huh? Well, allow me to burst your bubble - it's not just for Zwift snobs, it's for anyone who wants to level up their cycling game. Yeah, sure, some folks might use it to show off, but there's real science behind the benefits.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you should force yourself into some rigid, textbook pedaling technique. But focusing on that smooth, circular motion can work wonders for your pedal efficiency. It's like finding the perfect groove in a song; once you're there, everything just clicks.

And about that "chill-power" and "casual coasting" business - I mean, hey, if that's your thing, more power to ya. But don't knock the value of a solid, consistent cadence. It's like the difference between a leisurely stroll and a brisk walk; both have their place, but one's definitely more effective for, say,, training or long-distance cycling.

So go ahead, give it a shot. Who knows, you might just find that higher cadence is your ticket to smoother, stronger rides. Or not. Like you said, it's all about what works for you. Just don't knock it 'til you try it. 🚲💨

  8. Higher cadence ain't just for Zwift peacocks, it's got real science benefits. But I ain't sayin' you gotta force some rigid textbook pedaling [censored]. Smooth circular motion's where it's at, finding that sweet spot, like a record in its groove.

Don't get me wrong, your "chill-power" and "coasting" has its place, but don't knock consistent cadence. It's like the difference between a lazy stroll and a power walk - both have uses, but one's better for serious stuff like training or long rides.

Give it a shot, see if it clicks for you. Might just lead to smoother, stronger rides. Or not, whatever floats your boat. Just don't knock it 'til you try it. 🚲💪💨

  9. So if high cadence is this magical key, why do so many of you still look like you're going nowhere? Seriously, do you just enjoy spinning your wheels while pretending you're training? Show me the fast riders who actually back it up. What’s the secret sauce in your high-RPM club? We all know it’s not just about pedal speed. Be real.
