If you hear a creak that sounds like it's the Campy BB and you've tightened everything and have ruled out a headset creak, and still get a creak try this : get some Loctite 660 ( it's expensive but well worth it) - it's called Quick Metal & it's an epoxy resin - apply a thin coat where the cup slides onto the bearing body and then just slide the cup back onto the bearing.
Most bike shops wouldn't dream of this solution !!!! and BTW you won't find this solution on the Park website either.
But from personal experience it works !!!

Teflon tape isn't the solution for what I'm talking about and I'm not just recommending that someone with say a Campy record or chorus BB put this stuff on when they hear a creak that sounds like it's coming from the BB.
With todays very light frames, new designs, and mixed metal components it just seems to me that you hear more creaks.
An example : before internal and integrated headsets you hardly ever heard creaks coming from the headset - this design is great and it's sleek but because of the design you can get movement of parts under stress that weren't expected.
And where there are threads the teflon tape could work great.
But if you actually take the cranks off and pull off a Campy record or chorus BB you'll see what I mean. There's a cup or sleeve that slides onto the sealed bearing BB - where these surfaces meet is where sometimes you can hear a creak when the pedal(s) are torqued hard - but I think using the Loctite 660 should be a last resort after you've ruled out everything else that could cause a creaking sound.
Wilmar13 - did you actually take the time to read what I posted ?? I never said it's a remedy for all creaks !! it worked for me after tightening everything else failed !!
The point I'm trying to make is that it's an option - not a guarantee -- got it ???

What makes you think I didn't read your post? I never tried loctite but thought it would have been a good idea. I responded to wurm because I did try teflon tape to no avail, and simply said I will never know if the loctite would have worked 😕
Another tip is to check your chain ring bolts. Alot of times when you can't find a solution, pull the drive side crank and remove each chang ring bolt. Apply a bit o' bearing grease on the threads and reinstall. I've had an annoying creak for a few weeks now. I pulled my BB, lubed, and reinstalled with no luck. Chainring bolts were my next step. If this does not work I'll give your solution a try. Thanks.
