I have sachs ergo shifters and the rear shifter is sticking on the last two cogs. seems since I went to a 12-28 cogset shifting has not been as good.

just to make sure I get all questions answered.
OK I am debating on should I get them rebuilt or if I can find a good deal on some shimano sti higher end shifters changing over. I tried my friends ultegra shifters and they sure felt good and took less effort to use.
but I am also thinking of bar end shifters. I don't use the drops ever as I ride in the city and hate the hunched over feel. I can cut the bars off right below the break levers and have the bar ends facing down. I can shift without removing my hands I think (not sure how much effort good bar end shifters take to move)
this would be cheep and easy. I am not sure how the cabling runs form the bar ends though.
any idea's?

of curse I forgot a few things. I have a 8 speed cogset. it is a campy cogset with shimano spacers and shimano dura ace RD I got for a good deal.

it worked fine for a month. the rd is the model befroe the new 10speed came out. it is the 7700 series I think.
it was a pain to get the shifting right. it seemed to come unadjusted a few times. once I got it it worked fien till it started hanging on the biggest cogs. it would not fully shift or it would lock up and you have to shift to a smaller cog to unlock it. -

it was a bit crazy to get it working. but it worked fine for a bit then it started catching. a mecanic told me the shifting disc may just need turned around to the other side. I did like the feel if the shimano better though.
