Maybe Atkins, but hasn't low-carbing been around longer than that?

Hmmmm. I'm very low carb right now, so perhaps it's the low carb and not the lowering of BG's that is making me headache free?
You can expect to balloon to over 300lbs. once off the low carb diet. It'll happen because fat bastids can't resist chocolate cake.

You can't argue with that, baldies.

Well I hope you enjoy all the steroids, growth hormones, antibioics, pesticides, parasites etc. that go into an animal these days. Not to mention the contaminated parts of a downed cow's vertabre being mixed in.
Oh that's right cooking them at high temperatures gets rid of this stuff lol.

Yes, but he was referring to suits against Atkins.

Most of us don't plan to ever go off. And not everyone likes chocolate cake, in fact it is at the very bottom of things that might tempt me.

I'd guess the lowered BG's. I would get nasty PP headaches before diagnosis. After I got it under control they disappeared.

Well, even before low carbing I have always been a meat eater, have survived nicely to age 69 so far, so am not terribly worried. It would be nice to have more natural meats, which I probably did have earlier in life as these changes in farming are fairly recent.
Oh, and I eat mine raw, blood dripping from my chin.

I remember my mother doing Stillman's diet back in the 60's. Looking back, and from what I can recall, she ate a lot of meat, some cottage cheese, the occasional salad, and not much else...

I don't know. My guess is my cluster/migraines were caused by some sort of combination that involved food intolerances rather than blood glucose levels, but I don't have any good reason for that particular guess.
I do think that the "very" part of your "very low carb" is not key to why you are headache free. On Maintenance I often go to 100 grams per day. That's borderline to even call "low" and certainly not "very low" and I remain headache free. I seriously doubt that moving up to 50 will cause headaches to return based on my history that 100 didn't.

Probably is a result of the lower BG's, then... Thanks!
