This Forum is not dying

Once upon a time, the forum was kind of dying...and this thread turned into a silly social thread in the meantime. Eventually the forum came back to life, and ironically, the thread died.

Steve keeps it up here just to be nice, I think. Just a place to post whatever. So post something if you want. Doesn't have to relate to anything else.

Sounds like it's time to move this thread to the Cafe...

You think a thread with over 23000 posts is in the wrong place? No. Though many of the protagonists have retired, this is where it belongs.

Perhaps it has the wrong name, though. We always just shortened it to 'the FID' anyway; maybe it should be called that?

That looks like a winner! Some of it would need translation for my neck of the woods: 'The South will rise again' for example.

There's that proverb that I first come across in a children's book, of all things: 'After three days, fish and visitors begin to stink.' Never truer than of family gatherings at Christmas-time.

That's a good idea, but since the forum is much improved, I'm thinking that 'FIND' might be a bit better...

The thread was merged a while back and my memory is not always great but I recall posting "This forum is not dying" in the Cafe but when it was merged it was pulled to where it is now.

I noticed that 5 minutes after bumping this thread... it was moved to the cafe. Must be a sign of the moderated times. Probably a lot tidier in here... and the thread is practically dead anyway it seems.

I wish. Only the smart queenslanders get to farm. You almost need a high school diploma for that these days.

Just twiddling my thumbs mostly... odd jobs around the house... some renovating... and thinking about what I am gonna do when I grow up.
