Since it doesn't look like you've got any viable suggestions, you might
try a dive shop. I googled and most references for places to buy were
all dive shops. I'm not sure if they would be too heavy or not.

There were a couple references to bundling up to go play in the snow or
whatever by putting on thinsulate socks, but I never found any "to buy"
places for them or brands or real clues. So not sure if they are the
same or not.

$70 seemed expensive for what I saw, although converting CD to US makes
it more realistic, I think.

Where did you read about these? We're (Alaska) always looking for
something to maintain warm, dry feet when running in slush, so if you
find something, please post. Many people seem to use Smartwool socks or
have played with neoprene, stormcloth, sealskinz, or goretex socks.

I think some winter running shoes may have some thinsulate in them, but
I usually find insulate in boot or jacket insulation.
