Thermarest Chair Kits

Had one for a few years now, a wonderful piece of kit if, like me, you
find sitting on the ground with no back support for any sort of time
uncomfortable and have cause to do just that.

The Lite version is cheaper and lighter, and the only disadvantage is
you have to remove the mat from the chair to move back to a flat mat.
Not exactly a problem, and given the lighter weight and lower price
(about £20 IIRC) IMHO the better buy.

Anyone else aside from me got the T-rest game sleeve? ;-)

At least they have the advantage of being silent, although they're a bit
electrical! I've always fancied a travel instrument ever since I met a
bunch of American tourists all playing them on Lyon train station.

Strewth! I suppose there must be a market for these things.

Last week in the Beacons I was getting up earlier than I do at home on
a work day so that I could make use of all the available daylight for
walking. I certainly wouldn't have been able to play chess on my
thermarest!

By no means.

Lay it right back so it turns into a recliner and use it as a
far more comfy bed than just lying on the ground getting sore
hips. The only thing is, it takes some getting used to to get
it just right as sleeping bags have an awful habit of being
slippery.

Got one? I've got two! Well actually one is for Julie. When I bought them,
the shop did not have two the same, so I got one like that and one like
this: http://www.thermarest.com/product_detail.aspx?pID=65&cID=4. The bit
at the top is made of netting and has a much bigger hole for the valve
which makes it a lot easier to assemble. It also does not fight back quite
so much when you try to get the thermarest in. Its a bit bigger and weighs
50g more, but given the choice I would go for this one again.

Oh yes, they are great.
