Question: Which freestyle unicycle is best?

    - Torker LX
    - Nimbus X
    - Yuni Freestyle
    - Semcycle/Semcycle Delux
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Evan Byrne and I have gotten into a discussion about which freestyle
unicycle is the "best" overall. So here is a poll for all of you to
decide. Oh yes, don't complain about not enough options because the
descussion was specifically about these cycles. Now vote! 😄

  2. No No No, oyu have to state what our reason are for this agruement.

my case is that other than the nimbus X having a primo tire, the LX is
better in everyway, it has a extreamly nice frame for 1/no footed stuff,
much more room than the Xs frame, its seat is very nice for sif,sib
riding and hopping, great strong hub for freestyle, moderate pedals, and
ok rim. And all for 89 bucks you cant beat it.

  3. Well, the Nimbus has the same hub, better tire, more comfortable seat,
powdercoated frame, moderate pedals, nice cranks, etc.

And you talked about the seat and stuff, Evan, all of those things are
upgradable. The pedals, the seat, the cranks, etc. are all changable. I
    personally have a semi-custom Nimbus X setup:

    - Standard frame, wheel, hub
    - Qu-Ax 114 cranks
    - Primo "The Wall" tire
    - Going to get new freestyle pedals
    - Going to get red Miyata seat

  4. the seat sucks for freestyle, its all fat and horibble for sif, Of
course stuff is upgradeable, but for the money the lx is way better for
the money and even if the lx was the same price as the x the lx is still
better, when you get into stand up ww, gliding fro distances, ect ect the
biger crown is much nicer, and the lx has like 3 times more space for
your foot, i have had both an X and a LX, the lx would be my perfured
    choice.

  5. Unicycle dot com said it themselves in an e-mail to me:

"...Understanding your money issue, we suggest get the LX..."

"...If money’s not such an issue, the Nimbus is loved by free stylists
and is what we reccomend overall..."

other wise will someone please explain why in the hell you would buy the
    x over an lx?

  7. Read what Roger said:

"The Nimbus X has the same wheel set as the Nimbus II which consists of
a 48 hole double wall eyeletted rim, stainless steel spokes and all
fitted on a 48 hole wide flange hub. This basically makes the stongest
and most rigid wheel set out there. They come with 114mm billet
aluminium cranks, which again are some of the best cranks out there....
it has an aluminium seat post and KH saddle. Most of this is the same as
the Nimbus II but the main difference is the frame that some people
    perfer, some do not."

  9. So the only part that is better is the seat, frame, and price?

  10. By the time they're good enough to not break, the best one is yours. You
can't go out and ride on a unicycle you haven't got.

  18. If you're arguing over LX vs. Nimbus X it's pointless as to the poll.
The Semcycle deluxe with the long neck frame and other perks is the
    hands-down winner.

I have a Nimbus II, and I'm pretty sure it's a much better freestyle
unicycle than the LX. The frame is terrific for stand-up ww/glide. The
seat is great for all freestyle moves I do, except sideways ww, which
requires an awkward hand position, and the tire is just about perfect.
The only problems are that the low seat post clamp bites into my leg
sometimes when I do stand-up tricks, and the cranks and hub get damaged
after being dropped hundreds of times on hard cement at high speeds
while working on coasting and stand-up glide. Assuming the Nimbus X is
better than the Nimbus II, I'm sure it's better than the Torker LX.
