Umm, that's not the way usenet works. You post 'em here for everybody.
Like this...
Vidalia Onion Pie.. 2 lb Vidalia Onions
.. 8 tsp butter
.. 3 eggs well beaten
.. Cup sour cream
.. ¼ tsp salt
.. ½ tsp white pepper
.. Dash Frank's Hot sauce (to taste!)
.. 1 pastry shell, unbaked
.. 2 Cup cheddar cheesePreparation Directions:
Saute onions in butter.
Combine eggs and sour cream.
Add to onion mixture with ½ the cheese.
Season mixture and pour in pastry shell.
Top with rest of cheese.
Cooking Directions:
Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutesNotes:
I just coarsely chop up the onions. I don't like the rings in this
recipe.
I also bake this pie in a smoker with just a slight hint of smoke for
a little smoke flavor.
Heavy cream instead of sour cream (or half sour, half heavy) works
well, too.
Any hot sauce will work if you don't have Frank'sBOB

Tine -- a fork tine?
Good play on words, Andy. Or was it a slip of the finger?

Peel, cut off top and bottom, wedge it thru from top but not separated at
bottom. Place one boullion cube of your choice (chicken, beef, ham, veg,
etc.) and a pat of butter. Wrap tightly in foil and bake (on a baking
sheet, it WILL leak) for an hour at 350 degrees F.Quoted message said:

on line San Jose Mercury News and it sounds delicious....V. onions and
corn casserole and can't wait to make it. Will be happy to share andI bought some vidalia onions last week... they didn't seem any
different to the regular ones to me, except that the other night we
had pan-fried chicken and onions and it came out DELICIOUS! I just
sliced the onions and cooked them in the same pan as the chicken,
adding a little water as needed to keep them moist until the chicken
was done. Yum! -
