I'll bet you didn't bother to read the article, however, it is further evidence to impeach the Bush Admin. on, so it is quite relevant today.

In 5 months, the same kind of felonies will probably happen again, unless something is done to stop the Repigs from stealing those elections too.

It's not about "the past", but is about our future as a democracy. With rampant fraud like this, we can hardly lay claim to being a "democracy" in the first place.

BBC 2's Newsnight ran a piece on this at the time - no one cared then to take this matter up.
This is poor form on behalf of the US electorate that something like this could happen - and they do nothing.

As it happens, this week at the Hay Festival (literary festival in England), Albert Gore (former US VP was the guest speaker).
He's released a documentary about global warming CO2 emmission etc.
He was interviewed about running in 2008 - but he doesn't seem keen.

It appears that him and Bill Clinton are on good terms but he doesn't appear to like Mrs Clinton.

I like Gore - he seems to be a well educated guy.

Much of the non-interest in the public stems from the MSM simply deciding to not cover this subject, or to deride the facts as mere "conspiracy theories" - as did the NY Times and Wash. Post at the time. It didn't help that Kerry threw in the towel as soon as the banks opened. Kennedy is far too kind to Kerry in this article, but of course he has to live and work in a Senate that Kerry inhabits as well.

Gore seems contented to stir things up from the periphery. I doubt he would want to run the gauntlet of what would surely be accusations of "sour grapes the first time, so he's coming back for another bite".

Clinton and Gore are not friends. During Gore's campaign Clinton spoke very little of him except when cornered. And during the Presidency of Clinton's , he was left out of Bill's inner circle. They hardly spoke.

Well I guess if you were on cookingforums.com having 99.9% of your posts in the chatterbox section about the same things you post here and someone accused you of not being a cook, you could give an inventory of items in your kitchen, but it wouldn’t change the fact that most people go there for cooking ideas etc., not to read pasted articles totally unrelated to cooking.

I have not been to the soapbox in ages, and I thought it was funny that when I went back, most threads were some rant started by you with the dogbomb schmuck in tow… and the only post I opened had you saying “doesn’t anyone care”. It struck me as odd and a little sad. Hopefully it gives you a sense of belonging to something and a chance to feel heard, and also keeps one more job open to someone that will contribute to society. Win-Win. Happy riding/ranting.

Recent published findings indicate that the election in Ohio & elsewhere were "stolen" using invasive tactics reminiscent of "brown-shirt's" of yore 😠 The fate of the world due to exploitation/despoiling for EXTREMELY short-term gain, by my current president & his party, IS a relevant topic of discussion amongst many of my colleagues. It is extremely difficult to ride one's bike whilst dodging SUV's & inhaling smog which thier like (conservatives), up until VERY RECENTLY, whole-heartedly promoted the use thereof. Additionally, asphalt & concrete, one being produced from petroleum distillates & the other releasing methane during its production; respectively, are not conducive to MTB'ing :eek:

I do not think that she is for two reasons. One is because she has taken differring views based on her district in N.Y. when she is not a permanent resident & another is that the previous President would, again, reside in the white house. It is an interesting scenario. I don't believe that "middle-America" would vote for an assertive, progressive, liberal, woman. This is sad but true 🙁

The articles I read focussed on her strengths and weaknesses as perceived by the political "experts".

The fact that she is a woman makes her chances of winning the 2008 election all the more difficult.
In addition, the fact that her husband was a former Pesident doesn't seem to be something that works in her favour ie if she did get in to office, would it be de facto a 3rd terms for Bill Clinton?

The positives (according to this article) is that she is diametrically different to the likely Republican candidates and she is a very shrewd political animal.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

All I know is this Repub. Admin has really set this country back domestically & internationally, financially and morally. It pains me what they have done for whatever ulterior motives they had-"profit" & glory no doubt (of which they now have neither)-at the time.

The consensus is that she is not. The party seems to be promoting and grooming Gore as a possible candidate.
I still maintain that the successful party will promote a moderate next time with unifying qualities rather than what has been offered the last few times. The diametric opposite,as you say.
Neither Gore nor Clinton fit that description,but it is still a long way off.
B.Clinton proposed a third term option,he was not he first to do so, but I don't see that ever getting past resolution form.
It will never make it to the floor of Congress for debate,at least not in the near future.IMHO
