  1. Spent the latter part of yesterday cleaning the bike, regreasing stuff and
finally solving the weird intermittant creaking sounds coming from the
bottom bracket. So what happens? It positively hammers down half the night
and this morning I had to ride through flood water and mud!
    D'oh!

Late saturday night, I waited until the radar indicated that the rains
    had passed.

It thouroughly lied. I had the wetest ride I have had in a long
time. It was torrential almost the entire way -- 25 minutes worth --
if I badly estimated where Hawthorn and Chadstone were on the radar, I
can expect I might be out by 10 minutes, but 25 minutes?!

I got home and checked the radar again, and sure enough it said that
it couldn't have been more than a light shower.

So the reason I didn't do a BR this week was because I had no clean
dry clothes. I need to visit Uno again 🙂
(I won't say that I was also still feeling nauseated, given the
drinking session Friday night, hence why I was going home from work so
    late in the first place).

Oh gawd, now I remember why I am sooo happy to not be in the UK any more. If it wasn't for Europe on the other side of the pond I doubt anyone would want to go there - the weather doesn't even have the dignity to turn on the snow so you just get COLD.

When are you coming home hippy? 😄

It's actually not so bad (currently). All I ask for is a job that has showers!!! (oh and pays about 30quid/hour more) 😉

London is more fun than Melbourne (save for the lack of commuting) and I don't really have any reason to return.

I'm glad you are enjoying yourself - give those Poms hell. 🙂
