There was an article in english with Bob Roll and Alexi Grewal about ageing
Exponentially out there somewhere. It was posted, archived in Google
somewhere.

That's interesting, my father in law was going to go riding with
Stephen Roche this autumn (Father in Law is 60!) but we persuaded him
not too. Even with Stephen's exponential years we still worried about
Father in Law keeling over on the roadside :-).

Raymond Poulidor made the same point in the French paper le Monde a
few days ago. Commenting on why he always came second to Anquetil he
said that he would never push himself beyond the limit. They showed
the famous photo of Poulidor and Anquetil shoulder to shoulder on the
Puy de Dome. Poulidor comments that although he is tired the face of
Anquetil looked totally spent, haunted by fatigue. Poulidor thinks
this is why Anquetil died young and he is still around cycling 2,500
km / year on his bike.

Check out this guy if you are worried about cycling and aging. He is shown
winning his age group at Ironman Hawaii at age 61. got off the bike 30
minutes ahead of any competitor in age group. He must be on drugs.

yeah. inhaling all those fumes and all that heat and humidity (most of the
races are in the southeast in the summer time, and it's got to be a million

I noticed this of Greg LeMond too. I think being super skinny makes your
