  1. Wow. The rest of the pack looked like cat 3s in comparison.

Di Luca wraps up the ugly white jersey with his 4th place.

    1 Bettini
    2 Schleck
    3 Bernucci

    4 Di Luca

BTW, Bernucci gets the fairplay award. He and Schleck were only seconds
ahead of Di Luca and Sanchez. Schleck was stronger than he so he didn't take
a pull the last 2 km, but at the line he didn't try to pip Schleck.

  3. incredible.

I think Ballerini must have felt bad.

just a stroll in the park for Bettini as he rolls across the line fresh as a
daisy on an otherwise dreary Suisse day. At least Shreck and the other
trailers had the courtesy to make it at least look like hard work.

  6. Are you talking about Shrek 3?

A nice gesture. It looked to me like Bernucci could not have sprinted
even if he'd wanted to, he was looking pretty knackered by the end there.

    :-))

Nice course, too bad about the rain.

I liked Bettini's on the fly chain repair.

No, he was thinking of teammate Rasmussen, the [censored]
child of Max Schreck, the actor who played the title role
    in Murnau's "Nosferatu, the Vampire."

Rasmussen moonlights for the UCI drug squad ?

Anyway I though this Shreck guy rode for a team from Kazakstan.
