I started training again 11months ago at 97kg, and shot straight up to 105kg within 4 weeks. No problem there.
For the next four months I lost just under 1kg per week. In September I started on a structured training programme and spent ten weeks doing base training using HR zones calculated from various physical tests. My weight loss dropped to .75kg per week, but again no problem.
Since January I have been doing a lower number of km but higher intensity work. My waking weight now varies a lot from day to day but a gradual loss can be seen over (say) 4 weeks.
My target racing weight is 67-70kg and I'm currently at 76kg. I've been stuck between 75kg and 77kg for ages now
Is it normally hard to shift the last 10kg of past sins, or is it just that the high intensity training is burning less fuel? Should I start monitoring what I eat more closely or just go with the flow unless I see weight gain? Or should I suppliment the HI training with a few extra hours of base each week? How do I shift the last little bit?
