  1. When watching the tour de france I noticed something strange, it was like floyd landis had some kind of invincable aura about him. His position on the bike really scared me, It looked like he was pulling the bike up the hills with his arms. He also seemed to sit very solid on the bike (strong core) as he never rocked or swayed around when riding unlike cadel evans for eg.

Does anyone know if there is infact a weird position on his bike that gave him his distinct look? He has a rather high stem height and he sits quite upright. Is he far over the bottom bracket or is he a long way behind it? I suspect he is very forward ???

  2. It probably has to do with his hip injury.

  3. Rumor has it that he trains on a big, rubber, stability ball in the off-season. That must be what does it. 🙄

He has a majorly fuseing bone in his hip problem and probably couldent move around if he wanted to. And he sets his handle bars very high so as he don't have to bend. So the Landis position should be called the cripple position.

  5. Most intimidating cripple on a bike ever?

    I'll say

  7. He looks exactly the same in the Le Train Bleu photograph from the 04 TDF TTT. I have looked at that photo many times and wondered why the guy's time trialing position sucked so bad. Makes some since now though.

Might try and look at some '03 or earlier pre-injury pics to see if the hip injury preciptated an abrupt position change.
