TUESDAY, April 10 (HealthDay News) -- A pilot study of people newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes found that stem cell therapy eliminated the need for insulin therapy for varying periods of time. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/news/fullstory_47733.html
Selling insulin is big business. This research will put insulin makers out of business. Therefore, there is no worldwide plot to withhold cures for diseases. And, the Kooks have been proven wrong.

The beauty of a conspiracy is that it needs no proof, it just needs belief.

LOL! Now that you tried to name people that refuse to suck up to the drug companies, what shall we name those that are blind believers in whatever big pharma tells them? Actually, I think we need to wait a while on the stem cell project, because now that it has been shown to have some effectiveness, the drug companies will be after it to destroy it as soon as possible.

Just thought that you might want to know. 🙂
Read it again MORON. That procedure only applies to very recent diagnoses. It does not apply to already long-term patients. Nor does it apply to Type 2 Diabetes which is very much on the upsurge and is pretty much self inflicted thru a high-grain diet.
Hardly the end al and be all of diabetes cures. MORON.

not to mention that they say "no insulin needed for a PERIOD of time"
unfortunately...type I DM is an autoimmune disease...so give them time..and those stem cells will likely be destroyed (same reason beta cell transplants do not work for type I
ironically...insulin is a very inexpensive drug...
