We started climbing at 7am. Up and up through the fog.
Eventually we broke through, just as the plug of fog in this
picture was dissipating. A minute later and it was gone.

But the valley floor was still buried.

We kept on climbing and much of the trail was still in
    shadow.

Slowly, the Sun crept up over the crags and lit the trail.

Then it was up and over the saddle and into the backcountry.

Some fresh and new rocky goodliness was found:

A few hours later, the fog was still trying to hang in, but
was gone by the time we returned to the car.

Nice.. Why do they call it Oat Hill. Are there a lot of oats
    growing up there?

Not sure if you've cropped this image, but any chance of a
nice 1280 x 1046 version for the desktop?

Is that area that beautiful, or is it just your skill with
the camera? Probably a little of both.

Make no mistake, that area is very beautiful. I've said
this before but I miss that ride so very much now that I
live in KY. Not much climbing like that to be found 'round
here just a lot of singletrack to be ridden over and over,
when it's dry enough. At least I can take solace that I'm
going here in Oct. Whoo hooo! I know, no pics on this
    newsgroup...sorry couldn't help myself! Drew

Just checked my .psd and for some reason I only saved the
    800 wide version.

    Sorry...

nice, bill The mind serves properly as a window glass rather
than as a reflector, that is, the mind should give an
immediate view instead of an interpretation of the world.

Might be but I'm looking forward to riding there
nonetheless. BTW, I didn't take the picture.
