Roger, no I'm not doing the ride but I did see that Help for Heroes are
asking people to come to Blackheath Common on 1st June to see you off.
I shall be there, and will be donating a few quid.

We are asking people to get on their bikes and ride from all corners of
Great Britain to meet on Blackheath Common at 11am on the 1st June 2008
and then join one massive pelaton which will ride through London to the
Cenotaph via Horse Guards Parade.

I have flagged this up in Another place, and am expecting a good
turnout. You know who you are.

I had confirmation of a place so will be doing the main ride in
France. Looking forward to it but need to get some training rides in
between now and May.

If there is anyone in New Forest area who'd like to link up then plse

*Blackheath Common*.

The Blackheath to Whitehall leg is a big get together for anyone who
fancies turning up who couldn't do the French bit of the ride for
whatever reason ( not least, being unable to get in ).

Ahhh! So that would be Blackheath, then.

I expect I could make it. I live 5 minutes down the road - I could
probably put up a few urc regulars. My one problem is that I'm in
Plockton for the week 24 - 31 May!

Not a problem - the Great British Hero Ride ( Blackheath to
Whitehall) is on the 1st of June ....morceau de gateau innit ;-D
