Tonight while heading inbound on the Eastern Fwy trail just before the tunnel…. Continental Sport Contacts which are all of 100kms old! These come with “1 year anti puncture guarantee”, lets just see what Conti have to say about this.. hah!..

Tyre isn’t wrecked, I’ll put a thin patch on the inside and it’ll be good as new and ripping the legs of more commuters in no time!

Now that is unlucky. I think I had your share of good luck today. I was on my way home, zooming down City West Link from Norton St when I heard tictictictictic and I could see something jammed in the front tyre. I stopped and pulled out a piece of wire or metal (or something) that was easily 15mm long and only about 5mm sticking out. Fully expecting a flat, the piece came out and the tyre stayed inflated as the wire had gone in an almost tangent direction! (*phew*). I now have a small crack in the outer casing...

Hope conti support their tyre!

I 'used to' run those and like em till similar experience but found out I'd have to send the friggin tyre to Sydney to get my replacement.

Looks like some kind of screw with a plastic toggle on it.... Used for
fixing stuff into things with a cavity behind it like a plasterboard
wall....

I thought I was going to get a puncture several times on yesterday's
commute... SOOOOOOO much junk on the Yarra trail...if not a puncture on
my tyre, a puncture on my leg as a I slide and fall over.... :P

I hear you.. I moved offices yesterday and have a new route to take. East St Kilda, alma rd, albert park lake, albert rd, clarendon st and finally spencer st, They are all full of glass from bogans smashing their bottles along the side of the road. It is shocking and only a matter of time before the punctures and the swearing starts. And to top it off this morning, some nuf nuf wearing only a pair of shorts and smoking a [censored] was blasting a tin can all over the road and as i swerved to avoid him he blasted me with the hose giving me an early shower. I braked to give him what for and he continued to hose me. I wont repeat here what i screamed at him.. hot happy at all. !
