As with Mu, I say to you that your insensitivity and intolerance are the antithesis of all that is
    Christian.

Then you have no clue, no right, to express your ideologies about Christ's life.

Jesus took few "intellectualized" prisoners like you. He openly challenged the Jewish, He went to
the Temple Mount and kicked moneychanger (Annas' controlled Mafia) butt, He took to task all, like
you, who practice this ridiculous doctrine that you are not accountable.

C'mon, Stephen, for once make a definitive choice and stick by it.

Message seems pretty clear to me: Man is not good enough to speak directly to God and therefore
    needs Jesus.

But he didn't say that. He proposes a question. Then he states what the answer to that question
is for himself, leaving it entirely open as to what you feel the answer is for you. Or me.

    ...............

Maybe you are right. But that sure wasn't my sense of it.

    Very easy to settle, though.

Let Dr. Chung post here and now that in his opinion I [Stephen Nagler] can pray directly to God
and be effectively heard - heard as well as any Christian - without my needing Jesus, and I will
    certainly stand corrected.

    Consider yourself corrected then.

I *know* that you (Stephen Nagler) and any other sinful person in this world (myself humbly
included) can pray directly to God and be heard by Him. This would be an act of your free will.
Whether your prayer will be "effective" would be an act of His will.

However, Jesus has promised that as our Savior, when we petition His Father through prayer as a
believer in Christ's name, that our prayers will be "effective."

    From John 16:

23In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you
whatever you ask in my name. 24Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you
will receive, and your joy will be complete.

May God add His blessings to the writing of His Word here on Usenet.

    Humbly,

    Andrew

As with Mu, I say to you that your insensitivity and intolerance are the antithesis of all that is

It sounds like you know very little about being christian. Accepting Christ as ones Lord and Savior
means to embrace the truth. Being truthful often means not being politically correct. Certainly you
may perceive this to be "insensitivity" or "intolerance" but, in truth, it is not.

A christian is going to tell you that without Christ, you are doomed. This is out of neither
insensitivity nor intolerance but from what
s/he knows to be true. If this were from either insensitivity or intolerance, this information would
be accompanied by hateful insults or threats of violence/terrorism (or the Usenet equivalent: the
