Sorry to learn about your accident - hope you make a quick recovery, but I'm sure the process will be painful,.

I couldn't agree more with your comments about helmets; I have crashed twice in the past 3 years - not as badly as you - and each time landed on my head and the helmet saved me from serious injury.

Ouch! :eek: Sorry to hear about the wreck, glad you had the old brain bucket on. 😉 How did the girls react when they realized (if they ever did) that they had caused your accident?

You got me started thinking about ALL of the things you can't do sans BOTH arms. I've come to the quick conclusion that there are quite a number of them, including one or two of my favorite passtimes. Geesh. Good luck on a quick recovery and thank god for that brain bucket!

just an update, i went to the doctor today and my left hand/wrist is so bad that i'm going into surgery thursday morning. 🙁 my right arm seems to be a little better. it's definitely amazing how little you can do with no arms. not being able to bathe yourself or do other things in the bathroom alone is pretty upsetting. things happen for a reason and maybe this is to make me appreciate what i do have.

Dude, I feel your pain. I snapped my humorous in a non bicycling accident over the weekend and now have a titanium rod an screws holding the bone together. No cycling for eight weeks at all, doctor's orders. MAYBE a recumbent indoor trainer after that, but I won't be out on the road until May!!!!

Bashed my head 2 weeks ago when I hit a dog. Big old baseball sized impact on the helmet. I probably wouldn't be writing this had I not been wearing it.
