It has been a beautiful week in Jersey. The sun shining, the birds
singing, the all the trees are starting to bloom. Now the weekend is
upon us and it is going to rain. Go figure.
For those of us who do the 8-5 Monday through Friday....we anticipate
the weekend. Why is it going to rain on my parade this weekend?
Doesn't the universe know I need to train for an upcoming ride in May?
I'm still afraid to ride in the rain. I am quite positive I will end up
in the ER.
Someday, when all college tuitions are paid, my daughters wedding is
over (and paid for) and my kids move out of the house. I think I will
retire and do whatever I damn well please.
I forget what it feels like to have only myself to think about. To do
what I want, when I want.
But who the hell wants that? What am I talking about. I spent my life
building a family and I love the life we all share together. Even if I
can't come first all the time. Or anytime.
When the kids leave, my home will just be a house. Maybe I should
watch what I wish for. Unless my kids fill it up with grandchildren.
;-) I can't wait. I want them while I am still young enough to enjoy
them. I hear they are so much better than your own children. You get
to spoil them rotten and send them home. ;-)
I hope I get a few hours of good weather to train for my upcoming ride.
Thats all I want. That's all I ask. This ride is looming down upon
me, and I hope I make it to the finish line. Just a few hours is all I
ask. After I do the food shopping that is.
It's all good.
Maggie- Hoping to ride this weekend.
For some, life lasts a short while for others a long while, but
memories last forever and ever.
Be sure to make memories for you and those you love. It is the memories
which sustain you through the winters of your life.
