Thanks - Is it abrasive, because my teeth are naturaly bone coloured which I am told by the dentist
is a sign of good teeth? (I would just like to whiten them, removing the enamel won't whiten

Jan is that rare bird that can live off of either positive or negative attention. Obviously, you
are correct in that her primary motive is to bash conventional medicine and gain the love and
admiration amongst the healthsluts. But, she is also willing to accept the negative attention as it
gives her a purpose.

Willing to accept is quite different from actively going for it. In any case Jan's behavior serves
to stifle the expression of dissenting opinion. How much more blatant does it become when she

Also notice that when Happy and others stopped confronting Jan about her behavior/false ideas how

It is looking more and more that ja|\|drE\/\/ has violated AOL's TOS repetitively.

From my POV it has not risen to the level that requires a TOS violation report. YMMV.

The hulda-store link post comes quite close though. Still it does not rise to the level of a spam

up by the six youths, has a customer base of 900 families from Rajkot. They have about 200 customers
in their waiting list. And, they refuse outstation customers as they do not have any facility to
deliver the goods.

Their cellphones are busy throughout the day. ‘‘Your order will be delivered by Monday,’’
Nita informs a customer. The next moment a new customer is on the line.

‘‘Delivery may be late by a day. Sorry for the inconvenience,’’ she says.

The collegians are not surprise by the response. ‘‘Datan is an ancient and natural herb to clean
teeth. It’s the best way of cleaning teeth, but health-conscious people stopped using it as it was
not available easily,’’ says Nita, adding: ‘‘Now, we have solved their problem through home
delivery.’’

Placing an order on the phone, Pradhyumsinh Zala says: ‘‘It’s available at the market in
Jubilee area which is far from my house. But now I get datan delivered at home. After seeing us
using datan, even the youngsters in my family have begun using it.’’ For Nita Jivani, using
datan stops bad breath and makes gums stong.

‘‘Its juice controls cough and constipation too,’’ she says. Strongly believing in the
medicinal value of datan made from neem, banyan, babul and karanj, the group of six began
distributing it for free at the city’s main crossroads. Following demand from morning walkers,
they also began the home delivery system. Though they charge 50 paisa per stick, home delivery is
free. They also deliver limbda no galo — a creeper found on neem tree which has been considered
best anti-toxic herb. This can be found in the jungles of Junagadh only.

‘‘A datan remains fresh for five days, whereas the creeper can be used even after it gets dry.
As datan is not easily available here, we order it from Junagadh,’’ says the group, which has
now hired four delivery boys. ‘‘Our business is picking up. We can afford to hire deliverymen as
all of us are busy with our studies too,’’ says Sheela Patel, an SYBCom student of Bhalodia
College. While Nita hails from Atkot, a small village in Rajkot district, others reside in the city.
Nita has hired a flat on University Road which also doubles up as the workshop where they store and
pack datans.

Finance was a problem for these students. This issue was solved by Paresh, Nita’s industrialist
brother based in Surat. Though promotion of datan was the aim of group, their business is now
taking off.

‘‘Yes, now its making profit. But we do not want to stop here,’’ they say. The group has
already found like-minded people in other cities of Gujarat and plan to start home delivery there
too. But their aim is not to expand the business.

‘‘Our next target is schoolchildren. We will stand outside schools to promote the use of datan
as we can afford free distribution on large-scale,’’ said Sheela.
