  1. I am in Australia and have been charged with possession of DHEA, Ephedrine
    and Clenbuterol.

On a technical point, does anyone have any definitive medical info that can
help me demonstrate that ephedrine IS NOT a steroid? Or for that matter
    DHEA?

I know they arent or at least ephedrine surely isnt but I need to counter
the Customs position that it is NOT.

About DHEA I am less sure but it too I am fairly certain isnt.

Any as I said a definitive and verifiable source of info would be
    appreciated

You can if you so feel email on [email hidden] (just remove
    the NOSPAM)

    Thanx

Your problem is not what the medical/pharmacological definitions are. Your
problem is what the Government definitions are. If the Law calls orange
juice a narcotic, then, for the purposes of the law, it is.
Pharmacologically, ephedrine and clen are synthetic sympathomimetics, and
DHEA is a steroid hormone. What the Australian Government chooses to call
them is their business, and your problem.

And didn't she tell you to not discuss the case on usenet?

Cohen is right. (Gawd, haven't I said *that* before.) Facts aren't
terribly useful. Maybe if you get a jury trial and you're trying for
jury nullification. (Good luck with THAT.) No, you need a plea bargain.

Or possibly a doctor. You don't happen to have asthma, do you? I take
ephedrine (name brand, Bronkaid) for asthma, with my doctor's approval.

Obviously not, or he'd be busy lubing up, and inserting cigarettes in
his [censored] (there's no logical reason to do so, he just likes it)

It would seem to me a Customs issue. I assume they confiscated "stuff".
It is unclear to me that the OP has been charged with any offense or
just relieved of "illegal" substances". Anyhow, plea bargaining isn't an
official thing in Oz as far as I know.

The OP stated "I am in Australia and have been charged with possession of
.....". I think it's pretty clear that the OP HAS been charged?
