Is the race the important thing to win? or the lawsuits & drug investigations afterward? -

My bet is Dr. Ferrari. He won the last eight. -

Favorites:
Alexandre Vinokourov 2/1
Andreas Kloden 11/2
Alejandro Valverde 6/1
Carlos Sastre 14/1
Cadel Evans 16/1I'm a newbie hereabouts, but from watching the TdF for a few years, it seems as though it's pretty much won in the mountains - who's the best climber? Kloden?

stages 7, 8 & 9 will sort out the top 5, which should be Sastre, Valverde, Vino, Evans and ?, the final top 5 will depend on team support, if Rogers' team is working it could be him.then nothing will happen till the stage 13 TT, then Vino or Evans will take yellow, but for a only a day, on stage 14 the true climbers will start to hit their fore, and if Evans is getting support he will be up there, but not in yellow. Rogers will be suffering after trying on the TT, but he wont be done for it.. as stages 15 & 16 will be a battle for the final contenders Vino will either have fallen by the way or hitting his straps, Kloden will not be up there as he is too tired helping Vino, and Salvodelli will be their work horse... unless they are both stuffed and Salvadolli and his smile will come to the fore...Stage 19 TT will be the decider and Vino might come through, or Evans if he is still fiit and has a lead from the mountains...Rogers might even have made thus far and is inside the top 5...Valverde and Sastre will have run out of team mates...
the best rider in the whole peleton will have been used and abused by his team to no avail, but he may win a stage...that is Simon Gerrans
In Paris, Vino or Evans for Yellow, McEwen for Green, anyone for Polka Dot and White...
T Mobile or CSC will take the team and some stages, but no major jersey...
bring on the prologue...
Brett Lancaster is a possible for that... he's one tough rider who gets buried by Milram and now that Petacchi is out he may get a chance to do his own thing....
it will be a good Tour , I hope Canyon (who ?) yep them remember Team ? get a ride, they deserve it and ASO's antics are undeserving of them controlling the Tour anymore...but that is another topic!!
