  1. I read somewhere about the TDF that the riders in the team that carry the
    Lances and the Ulricks (forgive the spelling) and other leading riders were
    called something - sort of like "mules" or similar. Can anyone help me with
    the term?

    I think in Spain they call them (or used to as far as I can remember)
    'peones' (pawn), like in Chess.
