  1. Greetings -

How do you taper prior to an event? For a century, I might cut my
mileage from my usual ~150 in four or five rides to 60 or so in two to
three easy rides in the week prior. For something like the Death Ride
or Horribly Hilly Hundreds, my taper might be two weeks, doing maybe
100 - 120 miles of easy riding within that period.

Anyone feel authoritative on this subject?

    TIA

Whatever you do don't grease the tapers ;-)
