Hi
I need to replace the bottom bracket on my cannondale sl5 mountain bike, the bottom bracket make is a Tange Seiki Ln-3912 but i cant seem to find one of these anywhere. does anyone know of an equivalent i could buy which would fit my bike.

Look at the "type" of bottom bracket you specifically need(sealed cartridge, ISIS, tapered). If you can get the manufacturers specs also look at the shell size to be sure it is correct.

yes, you need to be concern about two things, BB compatible with your frame and BB compatible with your crankset

Thanks for your help, I think I will strip it down and take it to the shop and ask for a direct replacement, I cant ride it like that so I have nothing to lose.
I would take it to get repaired but I want to start and do my own repairs.Thanks again
