There are a lot of reviews of photo sites. I think CNET had a pretty
good one a month or so ago.

That ranks very high on the stupidest question I have ever seen on any
newsgroup, anywhere? You download digital pictures to you computer and
do the cropping, Gamma, and other adjustments until you are satisfied.
You then just simply print them on you photo printer.
Brickston just made a glaring omission of intelligence.
I only take a few that I want 8 x 10's of since that is cheaper than the
ink that would be used on my own printer.
I have 3 scanners that all come with photo processing software, from
crude to very good, and got OCR too.
Even my cheap digital pocket camera that I take on rides had some
software come with it.
Most cameras will function as a data storage unit so you can process
your pictures and load them back onto the memory card and take just the
card with the ones you want printed. My local photo shop has a multi
card reader and will let you look at each picture before he prints it,
in case you suddenly decide that 3 x 5 would make a good 8 x 10".

Not necessarily, Bill. I have seen some places (i.e. Walmart or
Superstore) that will print your digital photos for about the same (or
less depending on various factors - cost of ink, cost of paper, not to
mention time required) than it would cost to do it yourself on a
per-print basis. Also, not everyone has a computer or a photo printer.
Then, too, if you're on a tour and want/need prints before you get
home to your computer/printer, you need a third party.

To the OP: in Canada, try Walmart or Superstore. Quality is usually
good, prices are always good. FWIW, I do not have any stake in either
company and generally dislike shopping at both.

Actually, Walmart was poor, I uploaded but the store walk in was just as
bad. The picture looked great on my PC but theirs was too dark both times.
The original was a professional photo too so what do they expect.
If they were the only choice I guess you are stuck. Thank-you.
