I wouldn't be suprised. But I think its refering to other teams pulling out riders.

The team directors just finished a 2 hour meeting where the evidence was shown to them. The thing is rolling.

All Riis would say before going to talk to his riders, was that CSC will be riding.

I don't think this is the whole TMO team, but rather the other teéms pulling out suspected riders.

The "night of the long knives" has truly begun. The TdF 2006 is going to be decimated if the teams with associated riders are also pulling out. This is the day that we will look back on as the day pro cycling entered its darkest hour.

On the contrary I believe that it might be cycling's brightest moment. Provided that it takes one good hard look in the mirror and takes action. For the past 50 years there has been ample warning. Nothing has been done. We seem to have reached a point where there is no more room under the carpet. Either UCI will rise to the occasion or cycling as we know it will cease to exist.

Our sport maybe needs to hit rock bottom to rise again. After the Festina affair the teams just tried to find new ways of doping (hence the blood transfusions) and also new ways to beat the controls (namely micro dosing epo). What is required now is not a better system for code naming blood bags or a doctor not being watched by Spanish police but a complete overhaul. The French teams must be rubbing their hands with glee, and about time too. The level playingfield they hoped for is a giant step closer.

[font=Verdana]Well said and good on ASO for not allowing big names like Ullrich, Basso and Mancebo ride. They are sacking biggest stars in the show but do it for the good of cycling. For once we must praise the French for the hard-line they take. The Tour organisation was the only ones from 1998 to make positive moves from the Festina affair. [/font]

Well as one famous ex American rider say clairvoyantly three nights ago on Charlie Rose: cycling is like NASCAR in America. It depends onsponsors.
No sponsors. No cycling. This doping scandal threatens the whole sport.

Bryneel was more depressed, calld it the worst doping scandal in cycling and probably all of sport.
