I live in Minnesota so a lot of people go on trips this time of year to
deal with the "winter Blahs". so there is a certain amount of "cruise
wear" displayed at the stores. although, It was 50F here today.
beautiful day. I saw about 10 motorcycles out today (still way too sandy
for me) but I had my windows downs and the music pumping.

I've had good luck with Sears, they have a section of swimsuits here that
are specifically for us "well endowed" types. It's way more comfy when the
bust section actually FITS you the way it's supposed to.

land end makes great suits in larger sizes.

halter tie - gives you more cleavage, which is why they're everywhere.

try ebay - you might find some bra sized swimswear, just type in your
bra size and the word "swimsuit" and it should get you somewhere.

I've never once found a Land's End swimsuit in my cup size. They have plus
sizes, but they do not have busty sizes. After two people suggested that...

They may not be sucking up to the Texans. I have been on several
cruises in the past few years, and we always went at the same general
time of the year. And every cruise had an Irish theme,
the-irish-dancing, boiled dinner night (etc..) Finally I asked the
cruise people what was going on...

It seems that cruises, at least NCL, has themed cruises that follow year
to year. This year we are going in May instead of Sept. Hopefully
there will be no irish-dancing night. (Not that we didnt enjoy it, but
a change would be nice).

All that said, you should ask your travel agent or the cruise line
directly about any themes or things of that nature...

or maybe not, I could be completely off the mark :-)

either way, enjoy!! cruising is great..

I'd like to know if the Wal-Mart's, TJ Max and stores in general, sell
bathing suits in Florida all year round. I'll be going down in April and
would rather take the time and try on a new suit.

It probably will remind me to not over eat while I'm there also!

I know some of the RCCL cruises leave out of TX - which could be why it was
TX themed. I left out of Miami on Explorer of the Seas and they didn't suck
up to Texans on our cruise - same cruise line as Rhapsody of the Seas. We
went to the buffets all day and in the formal dining at night. On the
buffets - I could choose whatever I wanted - I had only been LC'ing a short
time when I went - but I had no real desire for starches. I did eat fresh
pineapple every day. I stuck with non deep-fried meats, salads, vegetables,
diet soda and water. I came home from the cruise and didn't gain any weight
while out (7 nights). We did a lot of walking while on the cruise. I'm
ready to go again.

Who's post were you refferring to? I am also from TX which is why I
responded - I didn't mention the overkill - only respond based on another
cruise from the same cruise line. I love TX and San Antonio.

Yes, this cruise leaves from Galveston -- incidentally, they were
remodeling the port last year and it looked like a bomb had hit it. I

I was speaking specifically of the buffet on Rhapsody of the Seas --
unless they've since paid attention to my comment card, it's
TERRIBLE. I'd liken it to cafeteria food. However, the dining room
food was terrific, and I really enjoyed the personal attention.

We were on Explorer of the seas and the buffets were pretty good. We loved
our nitely dinners in the dining room with the same 3 wait staff every
night. Our assitant waiter went out with us twice to the ports. Good
looking young man from India. Used to be a dancer and had the body for it.
I am looking forward to planning another cruise.
