Among other major problems (poor reception, station loss on flip turns, no station "stick", leaking,
etc.), the biggest problem I had was that it was hard to hear anything over the sound of water
rushing past your ears. I think you'd have to have the volume loud enough to possibly damage your
hearing, and I don't think the little radios would play that loud anyway. Plus, you'll need to pay
special attention to when/whether the lifeguard wants everyone out of the pool, since you won't be
able to hear them....

I know its not up to mass production stage yet, but I'm hanging out for the goggles with an MP3
player built in.

For those interested in ordered and tried the latest version of Speedo Radio. It worked for 5
minutes. The mail order company had so many complaints they offered to not only refund my cost, but
also my shipping return costs. They can make waterproof cameras, and subs that can go to the button
of the ocean. I'd be happy with a water proof cassette player!

It seems like the obvious solution here would be an MP3 player. It could be completely sealed other
than cable hookups, which could be placed inside a sealable battery case. I've seen one ad for one
"in development," but nothing actually for sale yet.
