I received an e-mail today from someone in Britain that said he was looking for a recumbent and could I find him one. I told him I was in Michigan and he would probably be better off finding a source in the UK.
He then sent a reply saying that if I could find a bent for him, he would have a freight forwarder take care of shipping (Yea, right, I'll get right on it). My response to him was that he should just go to E-Bay and that I was not a recumbent broker nor did I intend to be.
I recall someone mentioning some type of recumbent scam earlier but can't remember the details. Maybe this is a take-off on that same scam.
YEP, that's probably a scam alright. Unusual for them to send an e-mail like that, unless you have posted a bike for sale somewhere. EZ Biker :-) Pompano Beach, Fl. (Bacchetta Aero Pilot)

Bob my first recumbent was a Rebike and it was a pretty cool bike. I'd dare to say that even a Rebike would be too GOOD for that scumbag trying to pull a bike purchase scam on you. EZ Biker :-) Pompano Beach, Fl. (Bacchetta Aero Pilot)

I am the "coordinator" of our Michigan recumbent riders group, the Wolver-Bents, so he probably did a web search and my name came up
somewhere.

Hey, come to think of it, maybe I should say I found him a great ReBike.

I *love* my Rebike. I just can't ride it right now because my knees are bothering me -- my son's EZ-1 that we are both sharing ownership of (along with the Rebike) right now is a lot less painful to ride.
