They're good... if you happen to have the sort of feet/gait
that=20 Superfeet are designed to help. Mileage varies: I
quite like them,=20 other friends love them, one thinks
they're a total con. Is there any=20 particular reason aside
from reading/listening to the marketing that=20 convinces
you that you need them? I pronate fairly badly and it gets
to my knees and they help with that=20 in soft trainers, but
don't make so much difference in boots for me=20 (where I'm
not actually deforming the sole). If you have a good=20
straight ahead gait it may just be a way of spending =A330
    you don't need= to.

  3. I got them because my big wide feet were getting bigger and
wider as they got tired, and my boots were crippling me. The
Superfeet support the arches and stop the feet spreading.
They worked brilliantly - for me.

    They come with a 30-day no-quibble money-back guarantee, so
might be worth trying them and see how you get on.

    Hi Paul

I have the green Superfeet and am very happy with them.
Done well over 1000 km in them now. Found they made a
big difference to my comfort levels when used in my
    Scarpa Mantas.

They have also been tested by BackpackGearTest.org. If
interested, you can find the test reports at
    backpackgeartest.orgSuperfeet.

    Paul,

FWIW I went with the CONFORM'ABLE (step-in plus trek) which
are heat moulded to your feet. There was a fault in the
preparation unit which meant my right foot wasn't perhaps as
well moulded as the left however the results are my left
foot is absolutely perfect. Even though I've had the right
foot re-done I still can get pain in it (note: I'm giving
glucosamine (I also get an achy right wrist) a good try
before I make too much of a judgement as the remould made
very little difference to the shape).

Whether an off the shelf Superfeet can do as well I somewhat
doubt although they may work for you. We all have different
feet and degrees of pronation but from my experience, I'd go
for a heat moulded insert every time.

Good socks still seem to matter though, I'm curently having
a bit of a love affair with X-Socks (Airforce I to be
precise although my wife likes that standard model .. all
picked up at the Outdoors show) although I can't say that
are that much better than Bridgedales or Thorlo's).

    YMMV!

NB: I'm only walking in the Peaks at the moment, maybe
the Lakes would more clearly show differences,
however my son is only 6.5 and 9.5 miles is a long
way when one is that small! even if I get an "I'm not
    tired Dad" ........

I've just bought a pair during the week for a very similar
reason (my feet aren't particularly large, but tend to
suffer from arch pain while walking). After 5 to 10 miles my
arches would be hurting beyond belief. On the times when
I've walked 15-20+ miles I've paid for it for days
afterwards. In fact, it's generally worse afterwards!

I've been on a 12 mile walk today (finished about two hours
ago). Normally my arches would be killing me by now, but
they're fine! During the walk there was some improvement,
although my arches did still hurt. Tomorrow will tell if
    there's a big improvement.

I don't know if I paid over the odds, but I bought mine from
Blacks for just over £30. I would not have bought them
without the money-back guarantee. The staff in Blacks were
very helpful, and confirmed there would be no problem
returning the insoles if I wasn't happy.

The insoles need to be cut to fit; this is very easy to do
and doesn't affect the money-back guarantee. I'm still
reserving judgement on whether I've benefited from them
until tomorrow and also after my next walk, but first signs
are good. If I was buying new boots, I think I'd wait until
I new what problems I had with them before buying additional
    bits and pieces though.

    Regards Neil
