Yeah, Rubiera's performance was excellent...finishing within 10 seconds
of Ullrich. Hincapie was a bit of a surprise.
Ruberia and Noval will be real assets for the Team Time Trial.
I'm a bit surprised by Rogers' poor result.
Aside from Zabriskie, Armstrong, and Hincapie, some other USA cyclists
had solid results.
Landis, finished 6th, 1 minute behind LA. Bobby Julich finish ahead of
Ullrich. And Levi Leipheimer finished in the Top 15.
Zabriskie and Armstrong's gap of nearly 1 minute to 3rd Place
Vinokourov is quite startling, given that the Time Trial was so short.
Amongst Discovery riders, Popovych (17th) and Noval Gonzalez did quite
well, but Padrnos (31st), Savoldelli (32nd), and Azevedo (34th)
exceeded expectations. Manual Beltran finished lowest amongst the
Discovery riders, in 70th, at 2:14. The median time gap was 2:31.
Team CSC's riders all did fairly, and they could provide a real test
for Discovery, in the Team Time Trial.
Zabriskie,Jens Voigt, Julich, and Basso all finished in the Top 20;
Luke Roberts, Arvesen, and Sastre all finished in the Top 30
