Suntour TTT -- bars?

I can't confirm, which is probably what your are looking for, but it's
probably forbidden by the rules. This is common practice in
international races in Asia, (1) to level out the playing field when
you have both amateur and pro riders and (2) to prevent overseas teams
to incur on the expenses of bringing their ITT equipment for a 4 km
ride.

I know at Tour of Malaysia they don't allow TT bikes because some of
the smaller teams can't afford the full bikes. Maybe the same thing
applies?

But in the photo above one guy is on full aero bars. Do you think

Perhaps (most) TT bikes held up in transit from Belgium to AU....

There are several photos of riders with clip-ons, and
some where part of the team has clip-ons and part doesn't.

So maybe it's rider preference. Actually it kind of looks
like only the Aussie teams are using clip-ons, but they're
just using whatever random clip-ons the riders won at the
last industrial park crit. (Sorry, do you call that an
industrial estate crit in Vegemite-land?)

Looks like the locals had TT bars on road bikes and the rest just went
with standard road bikes. I searched the site - couldn't find any
specific rules.

Only in a massed start event. Spinacis are just aerobars in a different
