Yes, the QU-AX cranks do have Q on them. I never hit my ankles, so its
not a problem.
I havn't heard of anyone break a QU-AX hub/cranks (the splined one).
That Yuni with the UDC hub looks a lot more vulnerable to damage, as it
is not splined - so I wouldn't want to go with that for trials. The
QU-AX is a fantastic unicycle, and looks to have a much better saddle
than the Summit in the pic. (Although it may be comfier for the firt
couple of weeks, the padding in the Viscount saddle will probably soon
move around into different places, leaving you with no padding where
you need it most.)
48 spokes on the QU-AX, along with a double-walled rim are unlikely to
fail you. Not sure how the Summit compares, but the parts that come
with the QU-AX (pedals, seatpost clamp etc) are of great quality.
