Suggestions for a walk near Glasgow

How about Cruach Tairbeirt? A little bit rough underfoot near the summit,
but fine views all round.

I noticed on the way up last week that the Black Sheep has been renamed as
something or other to do with Loch Lomond.

The Whangie/Auchineden Hill would be a more local alternative.

Meikle Bin if clear.. a real hill with a peak, gobsmacking view and
within your time scale.

Meikle Bin if clear.. a real hill with a peak, gobsmacking view and
within your time scale.

and air crash wreckage to look at too, good thinking.

At the east end of that range is a hill called Tomtain, off the Tak Ma Doon
Road which runs from Kilsyth to Carron Bridge. I've not walked it myself
yet, but I'm told it's worth it.

A great walk is Duncolm - I've written about it on my blog. Highly
recommended for a group who are not wanting something too demanding.

Yes, straight forward little climb up from the Tak ma Doon road, easily
extended to Garrel Hill, or further as you please.
